Women's Lambing Weekend Schedule

Friday March 31

5:00 pm Welcome
6:00 pm Dinner
7:00 pm Icebreaker and Program Introduction (Sheep 101)
8:30 pm Lamb check (check pasture to see if/how many lambs had been born)

Saturday April 1

6:00 am Lamb check (8 new lambs — several sets of twins —overnight and a pair of twins while we watched)
7:00 am Breakfast
8:00 am Group photo
8:15 am Ranch tour (hayride)
8:45 am Session 1 option. My choice: Feeding pasture animals
10:30 am Session 2 option. My choice: Goat-milking and cheesemaking
12:00 pm Lunch and gift shop
1:30 pm Global Village tour
3:00 pm Session 3 option. My choice: Milking goats and feeding kids and baby lambs
5:00 pm Up close and personal with water buffalo
6:00 pm Dinner
7:00 pm Heifer and agriculture session
8:30 pm Lamb check (skipped due to rain, but 21 lambs were born throughout the day! Tied a record.)

Sunday April 2

6:00 am Lamb check (really like 5:00 am with daylight savings time change. 4 new lambs - 2 sets of twins)
7:00 am Breakfast
8:30 am Passing on the Gift - slide presentation on some of the projects sponsored by Heifer.
10:00 am Departure
